Canada can boast that it has some of the world's most beautiful young women. In the largest international model contest, for Elite Agency's "Look of the Year," Canada had seven finalists -- the most outside of the U.S.

Haute couture favorite Linda Evangelista (now with flaming red hair) presented the "Young Designer of the year" Award to Anna Sui. More Canadian content came via fashion designer Jennifer Bawden, now living and designing in New York, one of the contenders whose fashions were worn by the models.
